vBoth mean « less than very »

vPretty is used mainly in spoken English

vQuite goes before a/an+adj+noun:

oHe has quite an expensive car.

oHe has a pretty expensive car.

vQuite is used in the following ways:

qQuite +a lot: She met quite a lot of people.

qQuite +verb: I quite like action movies.


vQuite also means completely
